Biography:

Katrina Kaif is better known as a Barbie Doll in the B-town. Katrina is a model turned actress who has come all the way from London.  She has a mixed origin with a Kashmiri Indian dad and British mother. She has 7 siblings and spent 3 years of her life in London before coming to India, but who has since acquired British citizenship.

At the age of 14 she was approached for a jewelry campaign. Thereafter she continued modeling in London. She got her first break in Bollywoood in the film Boom (2003).

Unlike other artistes from foreign lands, Katrina did not experience any difficulties in getting a visa nor of getting it extended in India.

She has a problem with the Hindi diction but with each film she improved her language. She has got the gorgeous looks, she is not easily intimidated, but at the same time she admits that she is very emotional, sensitive, and concerned about her privacy. She prefers to wear comfortable non-revealing clothes when at home, hates to do her hair, and above all dislikes make-up.

But the relationship broke and she was linked with Akshay Kumar for some time. But soon there was a new piece of news in the air. Katrina was going around with Ranbir Kapoor, the young dashing face of Bollywood. After her breakup with Salman they are still in good terms with each other. They both will be seen in Ek Tha Tiger which is scheduled to release in 2012

Controversies:

During the shooting of Namaste London (2006), which featured Katrina Kaif wearing a knee-length skirt inside Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti's shrine in Ajmer, had created uproar among khadims and the shrine administration.

As per Islamic traditions, women wearing skimpy outfits are not allowed into the shrine. It may be mentioned here that on October 2, during the shooting of Namaste London, Kaif had walked into the masjid wearing a knee-length skirt, which had created a uproar.
